With its unique blend of creativity, humor, and music, it’s no surprise that TikTok has become one of the fastest-growing social media apps worldwide. The app has over 1 billion users worldwide looking to create and connect with brands and creators around the globe.
However, with growing concerns about TikTok’s data security and privacy, more and more business owners are looking for TikTok alternatives in case the app gets banned or changes structure.
Besides privacy concerns, it’s also important to post to multiple social media platforms to ensure more eyes see your content! It’s super easy to post to multiple short-form video platforms too!
YouTube Shorts
Even though YouTube is mostly known for its long-form video content, it recently released its own TikTok feature called YouTube Shorts in 2020.
YouTube Shorts are found by clicking the plus at the bottom of your YouTube app. Next, slide over to the “shorts” option. Shorts can be up to 60 seconds and YouTube allows users to edit, add effects, and add music to their videos.
YouTube is a great TikTok alternative because the app was already created specifically for video. YouTube has over 2.70 billion users and is actually the second-largest search engine!
Facebook/Instagram Reels
Both Facebook and Instagram have come up with their own TikTok alternative, Reels. These function very similarly to TikTok and let users post videos up to 90 seconds and can edit videos, add effects, and add music as well.
To create a Reel, press the plus to add a post, then scroll over to Reels. Here users can add their videos and effects and post directly to the platform.
In today’s ever-changing digital world, businesses must adapt and explore other options for social media platforms in case something changes. Many times, TikTok alternatives such as YouTube Shorts and Facebook & Instagram Reels have similar features. They can be posted to all at once which can expand the audience that sees your business’s videos!
